Wow, plenty of parameters there. But don't be afraid, it is realy very intuitive to work with, once you discovered the concept behind.

One of the most important things for Ornatriy novices is, to understand that you have to check the "Inherit material Settings" in the render effect dialog in order to render your hair with your material settings.

So make sure that you inherit material settings in the cheap or expensive render dialogs. This ensures that all of the settings are pulled from object's channels and not from the render dialog.

You should also take care to apply the respective material in the Ornatrix Object modifyer dialog.

The steps on how to set up a simple scene are sufficiently covered in Marsels tutorial. So i would suggest, you start there and learn how to set up a simple scene. But you allready done this anyhow - don't you?
